Change happens here!

How will I help your child?

First, we’ll determine what the problem really is (it’s not always what it looks like on the surface). Second, we’ll sketch your goals and expectations. Third, I’ll teach you and your child coping skills and techniques that will help with your particular situation. And finally, we’ll work as a team to build and refine the skills you’ll both use for the rest of your lives.

I’ll use the approach that works for you in your situation. Every person and situation is different.

I match the treatment to the individual. We’ll work together to define and measure your progress.

I’ll support you and your family in session and out. I’m flexible in my schedule and available for phone consultations between appointments. I encourage email contact between sessions so I can help you and your child in a more immediate way. Waiting until your next appointment for feedback can be frustrating and counterproductive.

But doesn’t therapy take years?

No, not the way I do it. The majority of my clients stay in counseling for 3 to 6 months. And sometimes only a few sessions are needed.

Life is meant to be lived. That won’t happen sitting on the couch in my office!  My goal is to get you and your child up and running, on your own, as soon as possible.

And cost a lot of money?

Most of my clients are covered by their insurance policies. If you have insurance, we'll file the claims for you. The average co-pay runs $20 to $30 per session. That's a small investment for skills that will change your life! If you don't have insurance, let me know and we can often work out a payment plan..

Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.

Don’t waste any more time. If the answers you need were in the places you’re looking, you would have already found them by now. It’s time to look somewhere else.

Please call and we can discuss your concerns.

I look forward to hearing from you...
